Husky

Outfit - Cardigan, Necklace & Socks - Primark | Top & Tights - H&M | Shorts - Vintage Levis | Black Ring - Vintage | Boots - Office
Face - Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, Clinique Blended in 0.2 | Cheeks - MAC Melba | Eyes - inner half - MAC Blanc Type, outer corner MAC Cranberry | Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner Black

As you can probably tell, I'm still digging the vintage hair styles, and thanks to this lovely lady Natalie on youtube, I've found some super simple styles, such as the one above, I can do in about 10mins in the morning - perfect!  What do you guys think?

I'm currently battling my way through a cold at the moment, I lost my voice and sound quite husky at the moment - not sexy husky, more like manly husky! Not good.  It also meant I missed the Motel Rocks Christmas Party on Monday - did anyone go?  How was it?  I bet it was AMAZING, damn you illness!!!!!!!

I can't believe Christmas is almost upon us, I'm getting super excited especially now Christmas markets are starting pop up all around London, all we need now is the snow!  What are you guys getting excited about?

Don't Let Me Go

T-shirt - New York | Shorts - Vintage Wrangler | Tights - Primark | Boots - Office

Can anyone tell I'm still lusting to be back in NY?  I know it's overkill but I really do love the I ♥ NY T-shirts even if they are super tacky - I think as long as you don't go OTT you can pull it off - what do you guys think?

I'm so glad it's boot weather because I do love my boots - I have about 7 pairs, but these beauties are my favourite.  Though rather 'grungy' I think the go well with anything, and that's exactly how I wear them - with anything.

Face - MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, Clinique Superbalanced Powder Make-Up | Cheeks - MAC Fleur Power | Eyes - inner half - MAC Blanc Type, outer corner a mix of green and purple Topshop pallet with no name - sorry! Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner Black

I'm also starting to experiment again with eyeshadow, at uni I was a total eyeshadow fiend and I would wear any colour from orange to lime green.  This all changed when I went traveling for a year and couldn't take my makeup collection with me, but I have decided I need a change again and have started mixing it up.  This is my attempt at 'peacock' eyeshadow - what do you think of the results?  PS. I have just switched from MAC's Blacktrack gel liner to Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner Black, and boy is it good!  Highly recommend this baby as it is as good as MAC and a fraction of the price.

NailsFrom thumb - Blueberry - Barry M | Mint Green - Barry M | Neon Yellow - M&S | Peach Sherbert - Models Own | Bright Pink - Barry M

Why hello again, sorry for the long break yet again, seems life just keeps getting in the way.  Let's see, what have I been up to?  I've popped over to NYC for the first time ever and OMG it was amazing! If you follow me on intstagram you'll have seem my many many pictures.  Though people compare it to London, it's got a completely different vibe, it's a little more chilled and a slower pace - so If anyone wants to give me a job in NYC I won't say no! har har  In fact I bought these Cons for my trip as I don't own a single pair of walking shoes and these bad boys fit the bill perfectly - stylish and comfy!

I have also just been to a gorgeous wedding in the countryside with some of my closest girl friends.  We had such a good time in a bubble of pink-sweet-diamante-goodness with lots of laughs and dancing.  My other bestie Abi has just got engaged which is so amazing and means there are now 4 weddings next year, 3 of which I will bridesmaid for - all very exciting times.

The sad news of recent weeks is my iPhone was stolen again... that makes a whopping 4 iPhone 4s and 1 iPhone 3Gs lost/stolen in the last year!!!!  I amaze myself, I've never had so much bad luck with phones until the iPhone came about! eeegad!

What have you guys been up to? Have you had a busy Summer?  Anyone else becoming obsessed with the X-factor?

Peek-a-Boo

Vest Top - H&M | Skirt - Vintage | Slip - Marks and Spencer | Boots - Primark

Summer sure is struggling to take off here in the UK at the moment, it's been so up and down with days of sunshine and 25°C to constant downpours and gusty winds - not so fun.  So when the sun does shine I try and make the most of it and finally had a chance to wear this lovely vintage sheer pink midi skirt.  I've also been really getting into slips recently - there just so darned practical!  I know I sound about 50 right now, but seriously if you try them out, you'll never go back, especially is you find really pretty ones.

Nail Polish - Barry M - Dusky Mauve
Face - MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, Clinique Superbalanced Powder Make-Up | Cheeks - MAC Pinch O Peach | Eyes - inner corner - MAC Blanc Type, rest of lid - MAC Groundwork Paint Pot, MAC Arena eyeshadow, MAC Fluidline Blacktrack | Highlighter - Benifit High Beam

After spying the MAC Bafta event all over blogshphere I immediately fell in love with the more subtle look and decided to give it a go myself with a little twist.  What do you think of the results?

What do you guys think of this kind of FOTD post?  Would you like to see more of this kind of thing?  Do let me know.

Spring Clean...

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but Boots have a 3for2 offer on all skincare products! AMAZING! So I decided to spring clean my current routine as I seem to be breaking out at the moment - I think it's because my current cleanser is just too astringent - I was using Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser as I can no longer find the Witch Cleanser (they only do the face washes - Boo!)

I have combination skin though I have a VERY oily Tzone and my cheeks aren't all that dry, and I find a lot of cleansers for combination/oily skin type either break me out or suck every inch of moisture from my face.  Also I've read so many good reviews on the following products and the packaging was so cute AND the price was perfect (around £2.30 each):

Left: Boots Traditional Skin Care - Gycerin and Rosewater Toner and Moisturiser, Right: Boots Traditional Skin Care - Cold Cream.

I was going to use the Toner in the mornings instead of my No7 Beautifully Balanced Purifying Toner (that's all I use in the morning with Simple Moisturiser), but after reading reviews and giving it a quick test run it is rather tacky on the skin, so I decided to use it as at night after cleansing with either my Soap and Glory Fab Pore Cleanser or my newly purchased Cold Cream - though I haven't tested this yet.

The Toner - though I've only used it the once, leaves your skin perfectly smooth and it feels squeaky clean - though slightly sticky.  I know its also supposed to be a moisturiser but I still choose to apply my Simple Night Cream afterwards.  So so far thumbs up from me on this toner and I shall report back about the cold cream and my new regime in a little while.

Let me know what you fav products are and cleaning regime is? Also what skin type you have.

PS I'll post my outfits I've been wearing this week tomorrow - with some of my newly purchase Primark items included!

PPS  Just a wee update - I got my mother a Voucher for the rather lush Beauty Rooms just down the road for her Bday

The Last of the Sales...

So I'm quite late in hitting the sales this year, and as one expects there isn't really much left, but I did manage to grab a few bargains in Topshop....

Eyeshadow Palette (unsure of the name) (L) - was £12 now £3

Eyeshadow Duo Yellow/Pink - was £6 now £1

Eyeshadow Palette in Petrol (R) - was £12 now £3

That's a saving of £23!!! BARGAIN! I've also done some swatches so you can see what they look like:

OK, so my photographs aren't the best, but the colours are amazing, very pretty and cute.  When swatched the colours aren't quite as vibrant.  As you can see from the above photo's they are very subtle on skin, some barely visible, perfect for an everyday work look, a subtle hint of colour goes a long way.  Also if you're a fan of MAC paintpots, just apply something like Blackground on your lids first and they would make your eyes really pop for that night out.

Let me know what you guys think of Topshop make-up?

OOTD plus bits I picked up in Superdrug

So I just couldn't wait to get down to Superdrug and have a look at what was on offer on their 3for2, here are a few things I picked up....

As soon as I got home I just had to test the dazzle dust as it was so pretty in the shop...I have to say it's not as vibrant as I had hoped, but it is still very pretty.

Here's what I am wearing today - I'm planning on going to my girlfriends house to chill out and watch movies so decided to wear something comfy (and items I bought yesterday - see earlier blog):

Shoe's - Vera Moda, Leggings - H&M, Long Vest Top - H&M, Striped Top - New Look, Vintage Aran Cardigan - Ebay, Necklaces - (Black) Miss Selfridge, (Silver) H&M, Rings - (Black &Silver) H&M, (Silver&Amber) Xmas Present 2 years ago.
