☀ Rain or Shine ☀

There seems to be a running theme on my blog at the moment with the ridiculous amounts of polka dots, but hey, I just can't say no to a good spot.  As you can see the sun is shining in these photos, which is a miracle as the Summer has been ridiculously wet here in London, in fact later the skies went grey and it started to rain - sad times.  It makes choosing outfits tough as it's hot and sticky but massively wet and windy, how do you guys cope with random weather?

 

In other news, I've booked my festival tickets for this year, Farm Fest, I was originally looking at Hop Farm or Bestival, but this mini festival won me over and with quite a lot of my friends going it should be a good laugh - come rain or shine!  What festivals has everyone else booked this year?

Today has not been a good start to the weekend, I spent my morning/afternoon in A&E as I've pulled something in my neck, I was sent home with some very drowsy drugs and have been in bed for the rest of the day, and my neck isnt even feeling any better!  Booo

Anyhow enough of me complaining, as promised in a previous post,  here are my new shorts!  

As mentioned I picked up two pairs for £26, which is pretty good, and I think they fit perfectly and I'm in love with the colour, they're my new favourite item in my wardrobe - I find it so hard to find high waisted shorts or trousers that are flattering and don't make me look like I'm preggers.  Actually there's quite a few new items in the outfit, from the moustache necklace to the cute and very comfy shoes from Marks.

I shouldn't technically be shopping at the mo as I'm trying to save for my hols this year in NY, I'm so super excited, have you guys been on any naughty spending sprees?  And what are your Holiday plans for the year?

Dress - Dorothy Perkins | Slip - Vintage | Socks - Primark | Boots - Red or Dead

I don't know if any of you remember but this dress was in my Wednesday Wishlist a little while ago, but I finally saw it in the flesh and knew it had to be mine.  They length was perfect and the cut out design was stunning, I did have to wear a slip with the dress as it was randomly very static and sticking to all the WRONG areas - not flattering at all.  I'm really not a fan of dresses with attached belts, I find the bow at the back (though really pretty) quite uncomfortable when your sitting down, so I decided to tie it at the front on the side instead - what do you think?

In other news I finally have my iPhone again! YAY (yup that's 3 iPhones stolen in 6 months) but I do hold onto this one a little longer - fingers crossed!  Also hence the reason I have jsut resurfaced on instagram.

I spent the weekend seeing Uni friends in Coventry in the midlands, she was having a final farewell before she heads off to China to start a new life.  I must admit I do really like the idea of working abroad, what about you guys?  How was your weekend?
