Rooty Tooty, New Booties

What can I say - my sister is a mind reader!  I've been wanting some new ankle boots for a while that are versatile so I can wear them with most my dresses - a reasonable tall order I think, but not for my lovely sister who purchased these bad boys as a Cripley Pressie - whoop.

Don't you think they go perfectly?  Can't wait to try them out with other outfits.

A very Merry Christmas

Apologies for the lack of blogging over the festive period, I have been rather busy enjoying myself :)  I hope everyone had a rather fabulous Christmas and lots of fun, above is a little photo diary of my day with the family.  It was a rather quiet Christmas this year with only 2 uncles coming to visit (we usually have at least 2 other families over) but still a great day.  I received so many goodies this year that I'll have to share with you in other posts, what did everyone get this year?

I have to say I'm going to miss turkey and stuffing sandwiches!

Lost and Found...

Dress & Hat - H&M | Belt, Tights & Socks - Primark | Necklace - Spitalfields Market | Rhino Ring - Rokit | Boots - Zara

So you may have noticed I've been MIA for the last couple of weeks - apologies my lovelies, it's just been a roller coaster of Lost & Found.

Firstly at the beginning of last week I lost my memory card reader, meaning no blog posts until my new one came in the post :(  Then on Saturday night not only did I loose my favourite hat (pictured above) I also lost my purse.

But all is not lost, two days ago I got a letter from Kentish Town Police Station and someone has handed in my purse!  It makes me so happy to know there are such kind and genuine people out there.  So it really is the season to be jolly!

The Winter weather is finally starting to really kick in here in England and I love it, I just love layering up and snuggling in bed when it's cold outside.  Are you guys enjoying the Winter months?

Has anything extra special happened to anyone else lately?

Now I'm back in action there will be some exciting Christmas related posts coming up.

❄ Tis the Season ❄

Cardigan, Top, Skirt & Tights - H&M | Necklace - Aldo | Boots - Urban Outfitters

Hmmm, it seems my outfit is pretty much all H&M - not that I think about these things when I put my clothes on, as long as they go together and make me feel good that's all that matters.  But for some reason I feel silly when I list all the items out and find they're all from the same place - how do you guys feel?

Also because of the morning drizzle my photo's seem to have lots of speckles on them, though I quite like them.

Last week was a busy week as it was our works Christmas Party (yup in November!) and as with all our parties it had a theme, this year it was black and white.  Unfortunately I don't have a full length picture oh my outfit, but I went for black and white spots with a spotty head piece, spotty cardigan, black dress and spotty tights as seen in a previous post.  Of course I had to go one step further and add feather eyelashes - what do you guys think?

I think this weekend (yeah I know it's only Monday) I'm going to take a trip to Winter Wonderland, it's a fabulous little Christmas haven in Hyde Park, with loads of cute Christmas stalls, funfair rides, mulled wine, hot dogs and an ice rink.  It's the perfect way to get you into the festive mood.

How are you guys easing into the festive season?

Happy Hands ♡

Jumper & Socks - Topshop | Top & Jeggings - H&M | Headscarf - Vintage | Brogues & Ring - Primark
Nail Polish - all Bary M

Well this week has been busy but relaxing if that makes sense at all?  I stumbled upon a great little cider pub during the week called the Green Man, they sell every kind of cider you can imagine, my favourite being the elderflower and lime one - yummy.  On Friday I went to see Breaking Dawn the latest in the Twilight saga - it was very cheesy but great! It was also good catching up with some girlfriends I haven't seen in a long time.

Yesterday I went to Westfield Stratford with some friends, as one would expect it was absolutely PACKED with people, but with the hustle bustle and Christmas lights twinkling away it's really got me in the festive mood.  Surprisingly I didn't actually buy anything - shock, horror! I'm really trying to curb my spending at the moment, and I have to say, so far so good.  We finished the day sipping hot chocolates and listening to the Christmas tunes playing.

Today I spent the morning at Battersea Car Boot Sale just browsing around watching the vulture dealers crowding new sellers as they arrive so they could grab the best bits and take them back to their stall and sell them at a higher price - the cheek!

What has everyone else been up to this week?

I love these muticoloured nails, they really make me smile every time I look at them - whats your favourite nail trend at the moment?

Clash of the Patterns

Sadly yesterday I had to work, boooo! Sad times, so all I did all day was go to work, come home and watch the Xfactor (why are 2 Shoes not back?) read my book and go to bed.  Not totally pants, but not the most exciting of Saturday's.  Anyhow, here is what I wore yesterday, it's rather bright and colourful but I love all the clashing patterns...

 Cardigan - Primark | Dress, Vest & Tights - H&M | Shoes - Office

It has been a rather warm November here in London so far, hence the reason I can still get away with wearing my Summer dresses with layers.  I hope it does turn cold soon though as I really want to properly start wearing my coat again - I've worn it once or twice but just ended up far too hot!

Today the family and I are off to celebrate my Pa's birthday, it was yesterday but I was working :S  But fear not, we're all going to stuff our faces at the yummiest Dim Sum restaurant, I cannot freaking wait!

What have everybody else been up to this week?

Spots and Collars

Cardigan & Tights - Primark | Top - H&M | Collar - Romwe | Skirt - Joy | Boots - Office

Remember remember the 5th of November.  Did everyone have a good Guy Fawkes night?  I spent the evening at a house party with my friends and a rather love cosy little bonfire.

I'm so in love with the delectable collar I found on Romwe.  It's so pretty with its cute scallop design and pearl button.  I think it's my favourite accessory at the moment, what's your favourite piece at the moment?

Does anyone have any exciting plans for the week?  I'm going on my first date in years on Wednesday, slightly nervous, fingers crossed it all works out.

Trick or Treat

 Lace - Haberdashery | Dress & Tights - H&M | Ring - Aldo | Boots - Vera Moda

Happy Halloween everyone.  If you can't guess, I'm meant to be a Black Widow, what do you think?  Are you guys all dressed up?

I'm all about DIY, cheap and cheerful costumes - I owned pretty much everything already, I just had to buy the lace at £1.99 a meter which was a total bargain and used this YouTube video for inspiration for my make-up.

On Saturday I went to a cool night called The Passing Cloud Feast of the Dead.  It had a forest creature theme, with all the bar staff dressed up, spooky decorations covering the walls, loads of live DJs and stage performances.  It was a great night with great friends and lots of golden Rum and Lemonade was consumed.

What does everyone else have planned for Halloween?

Oogie Boogie...

 Cardigan, Jeggings & Boots - H&M | Top - Charity Shop (Topshop)

I love the Halloween season with lots of fancy dress parties, trick or treating and of course pumpkin carving.  In fact I've got a special Halloween related post coming up tomorrow.  What is everyone else doing to celebrate this fun holiday?

I also went to see Drive this week - it's such a beautiful movie with a great soundtrack, you should definitely go see it before it leaves the cinema - though just to warn you all it's rather violent.  What have you been to see recently?

These are the two pumpkins we have carved this year, you'll probably have seen them already if you follow me on Twitter.  Has anyone else been carving pumpkins?

✩ Fur Collars and Robots ✩

Cardigan & Skirt - H&M | Vest Top - bought in Thailand | Tights & Leg Warmers - Primark | Necklace - Forever 21 | Coat - Vintage | Boots - Office

It's finally time to bust out the winter coat - which I have been looking forward to for ages, as I picked up this fab vintage lambskin coat, which is the perfect fit and perfect for the cold weather.  It's so warm and the fur collar is really snug.

I really do love the cold months, not because it's cold, but because you can layer up and remain snug as a bug.  What about everyone else? Have you got a coat you've been dying to wear? Do you prefer the hot or cold weather?

The one thing I do not like about the cold is the bugs that go around, I've currently got the sniffles and a horrible cough, but refuse to stay in and get better so I think I'm actually making it worse. Doh!
