Taking it to the Maxi-mum...

So my next must have for Spring/Summer apart from the headscarf is the Maxi Skirt. There are so many good selections on the high-street with hundreds of styles, patterns and colours, there's one out there to suit everyone.  Here is just a few I have my eye on already :)

I'm quite short at 5'3'' so I do struggle to find ones to fit, but I make do by either rolling them up, wearing them high waist or with heels.

I have rolled this one at the waist so it doesn't drag on the floor - I find maxi skirts so versatile, they also make me feel really feminine and elegant.

Top - H&M, Skirt - Dorothy Perkins, Sandals - Office, Ring - Rokit, Necklace - Brick Lane

Though I also have a soft spot for Maxi Dress, and have no doubt they'll be a big part of my Spring/Summer wardrobe I haven't yet seen any that tickle my fancy on the high street.  I've been finding loads of gorgeous dresses on Etsy, Ebay and Portobello market though, which is a major thumbs up!

What are your thoughts on Maxi's for this Spring/Summer?

Cute outfit, and you have such glamourous hair! I only have one maxi dress, I'm not the tallest person either, so I find them rather intimidating, but you look lovely in yours!

What a badass necklace? I love it. I haven't ever attempted to wear a maxi but I like the look of them. I feel like it would look odd on me. Like some creepy midget grndmother woman. If that makes sense... haha. I really like the color and style of the top shop one though! You look so lovely in the maxi skirt and your hair is luxuriously fabulous.

Loving the top (the skirt looks great, too)

I'm so all about the maxi dresses and skirts too! I bought one last October and wore it like crazy through the winter. Now that it's warm and perfect to wear in spring, it shrunk in length and is now more of a midi. Grr! That's what I get for buying it at F21, right?!

I have the opposite problem to you- i'm about 6ft so have trouble finding styles long enough! You look lovely in this one though, it really is so elegant, perfect for summer :) x

Eeep, I lovvve your necklace! I've been trying on a few maxi skirts, but so far nothing has been very flattering. American Apparel has some pretty jewel coloured ones, but I didn't like the elasticated waist. However, those Topshop and Asos ones are really pretty!

I think the skirt looks great on you, and really love your necklace! I'm a bout 5'3 5'4 myself so not too sure about the trend either! The topshop one looks a lovely colours though x

You look lovely, and the sheer Topshop number is my favourite.
In reply to your comment, my owl necklace is actually from an F21 store in Florida last year.

yay for being 5'3 and still wearing maxis! I'm also 5'3 and have a similar problem with the length. I started hemming mine (when I have time). I love your maxi and how you styled it with the striped shirt! xoxo
