The Book Of Love...

On my travels I'm going to try and keep a little journal, not a dear diary type thing but just noting the places I've been, the things I've done and what I have liked.  I decided to do this mainly because my memory is AWFUL! I went traveling for a year around Australia a couple of years ago and do you think I can remember names of places? No, so this time I'll make sure I have something to refer back to.

A couple of posts ago I showed you how to decorate a notebook with material, only this time I didn't mix the PVA with water and I didn't paint over the material with PVA.  I think it came out rather lovely juvely, with no bubbles whatsoever, so this is definitely my preferred method.  What do you guys think?

It's not particularly 'travel' inspired material, but hey, it's prettier than a plain ol' sketch book.

Anyone else got anything crafty DIY's to share?

THE ASPERVENIN-ATOR

I haven't told you guys but I am allergic to mosquito bites and my limbs swell up like an elephant if bitten.  I've been to the hospital every time I've come back from holidays because I look like the Michelin Man and am in pain from head to toe!

So this time around I've been doing what I can to prevent these nasty creepies for nipping me: B vitamins, Garlic tablets, bottle of lavender oil, tonic water etc etc.  I know these wont stop them, but hopefully I won't get as many as usual (bite count from 3 days in Budapest was 28).  I've also bought this ingenious contraption for when I do get bitten THE ASPERVENIN-ATOR or Aspivenin to everyone else :)

It's supposed to suck the venom of the bite out of your skin which also stops it itching - cool huh? Let's hope it works!

OK OK I know the last picture looks like a nipple, but it's not! It's my leg :)  Has anyone used this before? Any good?  Also does anyone have any other suggestions to stop being bitten by mosquitoes?

Tea Time

The sun is trying to poke its pretty little head out of the clouds, and he comes through sometimes but generally it's still grey and wet here in London! Booo

Anyway to encourage the sun a little more I decided to don this rather lovely summer dress and no tights! (yes I was a little chilly).  I love the pattern and ruffle detail of this dress it uber Summery and feminine.

Cardigan & Shoes - H&M | Necklace & Ring - Primark

I picked this cardigan and cute little shiny pumps up from H&M the other day, the cardy is such a versatile colour and I've been wearing it non stop, and the shoes are pretty and shiny and perfect for Summer and can be dressed up or worn casually.

I thought I would let you see how unpredictable the weather has been with this little photo below - the wind has returned to much of my disliking!

Anyone else have a piece of clothing that just goes with everything?

♥ Cherry Bomb ♥

Jumper, Top & Leggings - H&M | Necklace & Umbrella - Primark | Ring - Rokit

Well at least today and yesterday were better than Monday - weather wise that is, but nevertheless I had to share with you my outfit pictures from Monday.  Not because it was the most spectacular outfit I have ever worn, it just makes me laugh how determined I was to take photo's outside even though the heavens had opened - apparently we had more rain on Sunday and Monday that we've had for the last 3months; interesting huh?

Anyhow, I'm (semi) all prepared for my holiday - as some of you may know I'm off to explore Cambodia and Vietnam for a month, with a few days in Bangkok to start with.  I am so unbelievably excited, though slightly anxious as I am going alone.  I will spend 3 days in Bangkok by myself - this is mainly for me to chill out; I've been before so I am just going to absorb the sights and the sounds and forget about work, then I join a tour on day 3 that will take me through Cambodia and Vietnam for 20days then back to the UK with a few days to spare before I go to work.  This does mean a blogging hiatus for a while, though I have a post or two lined up for when I'm away - but not enough to cover the month!

How is everyone else doing?

It's Raining It's Pouring...

Cardigan, Top, Leggings - H&M | Headscarf - Brick Lane Market | Necklace - A Xmas Gift | Shoes - New Look

Wow-wee - I can't believe it's STILL raining here in London - it started Sunday morning and was non-stop rain ALL DAY and is currently still pouring down!!! eeks! I really do not like the rain - my feet get wet, it's awkward to walk around with an umbrella, you get wet anyway with a wet umbrella, and nobody lets you into shops with a wet umbrella - maybe it's umbrella's I don't like more that the rain... hmmmm

Anyway, I wasn't going to let a few drops (downpour) of rain ruin my Sunday plans, so off I went to Angel to meet a friend.

We had such a lovely day even though it was crappy weather, we browsed the shops of Angel. Stopped off for a yummy hot chocolate, and wandered to the cinema.  We decided to see The Hangover Part II as we both needed a laugh and thought this would be good as the first one had us in stitches.  It was funny, in parts, but it was all rather predictable and really lacked something the first one nailed.

After that we decided to have some dinner in the Slug and Lettuce and opted for their Burger (the biggest burger ever) which was delicious but boy was it filling, we whiled the way the hours waiting for the rain to stop and watching all the people scattering here and there trying to get out of the rain, but the rain didn't stopped so we made a dash for the tube and headed home.

How did everyone else spend their Sunday? Did the weather hold up?

Where oh Where...

This is what this glorious Saturday has brought for me so far, Egg's Benedict with Asparagus, and a humongous bumble bee buzzing around our kitchen

As many of you have noticed I haven't been around for a while - really sorry about that - and to be honest I haven't actually been up to much, just taking time out as we've finally delivered Harry Potter this week! WOOHOO see you lovely lads and lasses in the cinema on the 15th July for the big release, and if you fancy it watch all the credits and you'll see my lovely name! YAHOOOO!  Anyway this post is just a quick round up of what I've been wearing this week:

Monday:

A full Primark ensemble - doh! but hey I think it works quite well and I love this little lace number.

Dress, Tights, Necklace & Ring - Primark | Boots - Office

 Tuesday:

It has been SO windy all last week and the beginning of this week, and I decided to brave wearing heels - it did not make for a very lady like walk to and from the station at all! ha ha

Dress & Tights - Primak | Cardigan, Shoes & Turqoise Ring - H&M | Flower Ring - Aldo

Wednesday:

Learning my lesson from Tuesday I decided to stick with shorts to keep some of my decency - no flashy bums for me on Wednesday

Cardigan, Shorts & Tights - H&M | Shirt - Topshop | Necklace & Ring - Galibardy | Headscarf - Vintage | Shoes - Primark

Thursday:

The winds died down and the sun was beaming so I decided to fully embrace the arrival of summer in this rather colourful number

Cardigan, Skirt & Leggings - H&M | Vest Top - New Look | Necklace - Primark | Ring - SoHi SoHo | Shoes - Office

Friday:

So I snuck out of work on Thursday afternoon and did a spot of shopping - I picked up the amazing skirt on that trip and I love it, the colour, the cut, the fabric are just so beautiful.

Vest Top - Thailand | Skirt & Turquoise Ring - H&M | Silver Ring - Portobello Market | Sandals - Office | Denim Jacket - Primark

How has everyone else's week been? And what's everyone's plan for the weekend?

The sun is shining and the heat has risen here in London, so I'm quickly going pick up a few bits for my holiday next week then go and chill out in the park or a pub garden.

Happy Weekend everyone! Speak Soon xxx
